    • Know your Rogers primary user name and password. If you don't know, please call 1-888-288-4663, the service rep. will sort it out for you.
    • Go to http://services.rogers.com, use your primary user name and password to login
    • Click "Manage my additional email accounts" at your left to create a new email account, and its password. For our example, we create a new email account: lateguy, and the full email address for this one is lateguy@rogers.com
    • Click "Manage my web space" from the left, and activate the web space for lateguy
    • Now go to site www.rogers.com/lateguy. If you see a yellow page with Rogers logo and saying it's under construction, congratulations, you have successfully create 10 MB Rogers web space.

  2. Create Your Web Pages
    • For this step-by-step survival guide, we use Microsfot Word to create webpages (no FrontPage, no Dreamweaver here)
    • Open a new word document, type something about yourself, and type assignment 1, assignment 2, ...
    • Highlight "assignment 1", then click the Insert Hyperlink button (or click Insert >> Hyperlink)
    • The Insert Hyperlink window opens, type a1.htm at the address feild at the bottm of this window, then click ok
    • Use the same method to insert links for assignment 2, assignment 3, ..., and you know assignment 2 should link to a2.htm, ...
    • Once done, save this document to an HTML file, call it index.htm (click File >> Save as, and make sure you choose Web page for the Save as type)
    • You can use Word to create your a1.htm for your assignment 1, assignment 2, ... If your assignment is a Excel file, you can open this Excel file and save it as a web page from MS Excel application

  3. Upload Your Web Pages To Rogers Site
    • Download and install ws-ftp program, if you do not have it (Click here to download)
    • After you installed ws-ftp, launch the program, and you will see a window called Session Properties on top of the main program interface
    • Click the New button on this Session Properties window, and you see all the fields are set to blank
    • Type any name in Profile Name field (you better call it Rogers something, so you know this profile is for Rogers site), type members.rogers.com in the Host Name/Address field, leave host type unchanged, type your newly-created account name, in our example, we type lateguy, and then its password, also check the Save Pwd box
    • Click OK, you should see the right window of ws-ftp refresh and show some files and folders, this window is the root folder of your Rogers site. You should hear the train sound if it connects successfully.
    • Click the index.htm file in the right Rogers folder, then click the Delete button on your right, so you delete the default yellow Rogers index page saying the site is under construction
    • Browse to the web pages you created in the left window of ws-ftp, which is your local computer system (use the green upward arrow to go above)
    • Click to highlight your index.htm, then click the pointing-to-right arrow button between 2 window panes to transfer your own index.htm to the Rogers site
    • Transfer all the other web pages, which are a1.htm, a2.htm, a3.htm, a4.htm, ... to the Rogers site
    • Once all files are transferred / uploaded, go to http://members.rogers.com/lateguy, to see if your pages are up (refresh your browser a few times)
